It is played on a table normally capable semicircular to 7 players, each of which has a box marked on the table to place your bet before each hand. This ought to be held in each hand, necessarily before it is put into play the top card.
History
Blackjack, a game of unknown origin, is the precursor to blackjack. The first written reference to this game is contained in the picaresque work of Miguel de Cervantes, Rinconetey Cortadillo. It features two swindlers who barely survive in Seville playing blackjack. The text describes the goal of the game is to score without going over twenty-one points, and the ace is worth one or eleven points. Since this story was written between 1601 and 1602, it follows that Castille played in blackjack since the early seventeenth century or earlier. Already in the twentieth century in American casinos, the game acquired its present format that includes special awards (bonus).
Blackjack is a game of chance alone. In America the game has been thoroughly studied. The pioneer was back in the 60 Edward O. Thorp, a mathematician at IBM employee computer simulated millions of hands played, concluding that each particular hand has a unique way to gamble successfully. To all of them unique ways to play is called basic strategy, and its rigorous implementation enables the casino’s edge cut on the player. Without this basic strategy, the game itself has a mathematical edge of about 5% but in its correct use this advantage is reduced to 0.5%.
Thorp also came to the conclusion that the high cards favor the player, as they are the basis for obtaining a good move to turn, or make a blackjack which pays 3 to 2, while the small letters favoring the dealer, and allow you to do good hands involved (12, 13, 14, 15 or 16). This resulted in the so-called card counting technique that is not to lose sight of the cards played to determine if among them there are to play more of high or low cards, and bet accordingly.
Card counters have been mythical, which received great fortunes with this technique in the casinos. Ken Uston is considered by many experts, the best accountant of the story.
Card counters are not welcome in casinos, and detects if the casino or simply suspect a player is counting invite you to change the game, or simply thrown out of the casino as invoking the right of admission.
Either way, the days of the counters seem to come to an end, as the casinos are installing automatic card shuffling machines, which makes impossible the application of this technique. There is a movie, which explains this fact very well: 21 blackjack.
Gameplay
The dealer deals 2 cards to each player, (values: as = 1 or 11, figures = 10, natural numerical value) the player is able to stand (stay with the cards you have one) or letter request, without exceeding 21 it automatically loses, wins finally the one with the higher number, close to 21, or take a blackjack. For its part the dealer has to rigid rules to follow: his score is 16 or less original, and will be planted whenever the score reaches 17 or higher. These rules apply whether the moves with each of the players.
Rules of gambling in casinos
According to the casino to gamble, blackjack can have different rules. As said, in essence it is more score than the dealer trying to make the score 21, or as close as possible. For more score the player is paid an amount equal to the bet. It is also possible to get blackjack, in this case, the player is paid at 3 to 2 on the basis of the bet. In the tie is not lost or gained. These rules are common to all casinos.
Terminology
* DOUBLE: placing an additional bet to the primitive, the dealer will serve the player a single card on the initials. Each casino has rules for this play, some can always bend whatever two cards, others only allow doubling if the first two cards total 9, 10 or 11.
* SEPARATE: if the first two cards are the same numeric value, the player can separate them, placing an additional bet. On each of the separate letters we serve one more, constituting each set of two letters a move independently. If the second letter is served on every play like the first, you can return to separate the play by making another bet, and so on.
* ENSURE / INSURANCE: move that is betting that the dealer will get Blackjack, where the first card is an Ace can not bet on this hand over half the initial bet. If the dealer gets blackjack pays the player two times the insurance bet.
* SURRENDER: if you think your first two cards will not be able to beat the dealer, surrendering only player you will be charged at half their initial bet. This rule does not exist in many casinos, mainly Europeans.
Although the rules vary subtly between casinos, there are two main variants of the game: blackjack American and European. The difference is that while the European blackjack the dealer takes one card face just before giving the turn of the players in the U.S. is given two letters, the second covered, and checks it before passing the turn. In the event that it could enable it to blackjack, win bets from all players before they play and can therefore double the bet or separate letters.
